Who is Speedtech?
In 2005, Speedtech opened its doors in Vancouver, Canada, filling a void of performance suspension products in the native Canadian market. Speedtech's initial product line consisted of five part numbers for '67-'69 Chevrolet Camaros- upper and lower control arms, tie rod adjusting sleeves, C5 Corvette brake adapters, and offset leaf spring shackles. Because of their design and high quality, news of these products quickly spread throughout Canada and the US. In 2006 Speedtech made its debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas and created a product demand that was beyond the manufacturing capability of the original owner.
Blake Foster and Roger Maniscalco had been running a successful SEMA award winning custom car shop in Canada for several years, and preferred using Speedtech parts on the cars they built. In 2007 Speedtech’s owner, who was having difficulty keeping up with product demand, struck a deal with Blake and Roger to purchase the Speedtech product line and name. They all felt merging with Speedtech was a great opportunity to bring this proven suspension product line to the next level.
With bold ambitions, more and more products were added to the catalog with goals of providing innovative products and customer service beyond expectations. This new business plan included introducing an all new subframe design for '67-69 Camaros and '68-74 Novas, suspension for Chevelles, 2nd gen Camaros, and 94-96 Impala SS'. Displaying the “new” Speedtech at SEMA gained tremendous momentum, customers found Speedtech’s products were high quality, packaged in kits with components that work well together, were easy to install and were a great value. Through these efforts company growth bloomed and Speedtech was now considered an active force in moving the Pro-Touring world forward. In 2012 Speedtech service manager Jay Weir, came on board as a partner and the company moved operations from Vancouver, BC to St.George, Utah, USA.
Now located in a 20,000 square foot full service facility, Speedtech offers over 200 unique manufactured in-house suspension and LS/ T-56 swap parts, an on site full custom shop performs product installations to complete custom car builds, and their management and office staff are committed to exceeding the expectations of their customers. Speedtech has stayed true to their original goals, most recently taking the Pro-Touring world to an entirely new level through the new line of ExtReme chassis and suspension products.
