'67 "Quick Change" Camaro
The first annual 2017 LS Fest West in Las Vegas, NV was the scene for Speedtech to take on the "Quick Change Camaro" challenge. Scott from Camaro Family brought this clean 1967 street driver Camaro from California and met us at the event Thursday evening. Never before seeing the car in person and leaving the suspension just as the car came to us, Friday morning Jay, Speedtech's sales leader and track driver, clicked off a few good autocross "before" runs. Right after a cool down period two of our Rod Shop techs started tearing out the old stock style suspension and by that evening a new front Road Assault suspension, Torque Arm rear suspension, Baer brakes, Forgeline wheels and BFG Rival tires were on the car. The following morning an alignment was performed and the car hit the track. The new set up knocked 4.5 seconds off the original time, and the car was way more fun to drive. Scott is looking forward to more seat and tuning time on the autocross to get the car running up to it's full potential. Keep an eye out for it at future events in the Western states area.
