Anthony's '74 Chevelle
Anthony loves to cruise the streets of NJ in his anti-cookie cutter Pro Touring '74 Chevelle. This big A body bruiser sports upper and lower Speedtech control arms, billet tie rod sleeves aftermarket sway bars and all new steering components. Drop spindles and lowered rear springs improve the stance and give it the right look. The rear suspension components have also been upgraded including adding an Eaton 3.42 posi rear.
Tony's seats have been recovered in stock styling, while he's added a few improvements with a Sony sound system, Grant steering wheel, VDO gauges and billet window cranks and turn signal lever. Note the super cool original rally dash with factory tach!
The 350 small block under the hood has been warmed over and surpasses the one hp per cube mark through ported heads and an Edelbrock cam, intake and carb package. Power runs through a freshened up TH350 with a shift kit and TCI converter. Future plans are in the works to swap in big block power and Corbeau bucket seats surrounding a custom center console and Hurst floor shifter.
Not only is Tony's car pretty, it's a street cruiser rolling on 18" American Racing wheels and BFG 245 and 255-45-18 tires. Pro Touring builds are all over the spectrum, some of which admittedly ride like empty dump trucks in effort to win track events. Tony's Chevelle on the other hand was built to get driven, and that he does. On long road trips he says the car handles perfect, rides great, and drives smooth. That's what it's all about. Keep up the good work Tony, we dig it!
