We decided to give it this name after the original owner who was writing a build story for Super Chevy Magazine changed jobs and couldn't finish the project. Speed Tech Performance had sponsored some product for the build and when it died the owner contacted us to see if we would be interested in taking over and completing the job.
The car features a LS series 6.0L Aluminum block and runs a bunch of different parts to make it all work: Ls2 intake, Ls7 computer, and all the other little parts required to make it work. The Tremec T56 Magnum was used along with a Quicktimes bellhousing and Mcleod RST dual disk clutch. Bears Performance built a Sheetmetal 9" housing and 3" chromoly drive shaft using billet yokes to eliminate ANY driveline issues. Baer ProPlus 14" 6 piston brakes front & rear definatley are up to the task of stopping the Nova. Forgerline WC3 18" wheels suit the car perfectly giving it a road race look.
Some of the body mods include a narrowed front bumper and 69 Camaro rear bumper and tail lights. A 2" aluminum cowl hood and 69 Camaro front lower valance with driving lights instead of turn signals. The car has a full roadrace rollcage to stiffen the chassis as well as provide for track day rules and safety. OPM road race seats keep yor ass planted so the controls are always in the same place. We definatly had to add a sound system for the long cruises; Alpine handled that with 1250 watt amplifiers and 2 10"subs 2 6x9's in the rear deck and 2 5" and 2 1" in the dash. We did not want to cut the door panels or have anything down near the clutch peddle so the dash was the only place to put the front speakers. The rear seat was custom built to match the fronts even though they are totally useless, it looks nice and finished. The Black paint is set off with flat Titanium trim that matches the wheels.
ResurreXion will be our new test car for the upcoming 2011 season so watch for it.
